This policy explains what data is processed when you visit jarulang.com or download JARU IDE, for what purpose, and what rights you have. JARU is an independent project and only the minimum necessary information is collected.
1. Data controller
The controller of this website and of the data processing is the owner of the JARU project.

2. What data we collect and why
Web analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used (pages visited, approximate country, device). Your IP address is sent to Google in anonymized form. This data is only collected if you accept analytics cookies.
Download logging. When you download JARU IDE, the server records the date, the downloaded version, the link source, the referring page, and an identifier derived from your IP using a hash function (SHA-256). Your real IP address is not stored: it is kept in pseudonymized form so we can count downloads and detect abuse, without identifying you personally.
Server technical data. Like any web server, requests and errors are logged temporarily for security and operational purposes.
3. Legal basis
Processing of analytics data is based on your consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time through the cookie banner.
The pseudonymized download logging and the server technical logs are based on the legitimate interest of keeping the site secure, measuring its use in aggregate, and preventing abuse.
4. Cookies
We manage cookie consent through CookieYes. On your first visit you can accept or reject non-essential cookies.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, e.g. _ga): only set if you accept them. They are used to measure site usage.
Consent cookies (CookieYes): remember your choice so you are not asked on every visit.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from the cookie preferences panel on the site, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
5. Who data is shared with
Analytics data is processed through Google (Google Analytics). We do not sell or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.
No profiling or automated decision-making with legal effects on you is carried out.
6. Data retention
Analytics data is retained according to the periods configured in Google Analytics. Pseudonymized download logs are kept while they remain useful for the project statistics and are reviewed periodically.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your data, as well as the right to data portability. To exercise them, write to info@jarulang.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the site or to applicable law. The current version will always be published on this page, along with its last-updated date.
